Hi ....The nights have drawn in and this weekend the clocks will be changing - here at 'The Oak' we're looking forward to evenings in front of the log fire, candle lit suppers and the festive season. A big thanks to Josie Whittington, who kept us entertained on the 7th. More musical treats are in store with Tony Hughes and his guitar performing a range of popular music this Saturday evening (the 28th) and the crazy Melomanics on Saturday the 25th of November. We'll also be having live music on Christmas Eve and on New Year's Eve - more details in our next Newsletter. Next month, why not come and join us for a Candle Lit Supper on the 15th November - we'll be turning our dining room over to candle power and providing some mood music for a special night. Reserve your table now and we'll even throw in a complementary starter! Our header picture is once again taken by David Kelly-Durrant, catching the red creeper on the edge of the pub in the October morning sun. We noticed today that the leaves on that creeper are now almost gone, yet the photo was only taken just over a week ago! We've also put together an album of some of David's fantastic local views - to see it click here. Hope to see you soon, down at 'The Royal Oak'. .... Steve & Eira |
