Hi ....

Welcome to the first Royal Oak newsletter, designed to help keep you up to date with news and events. We've been here at The Oak for 12 months and to celebrate, on Saturday the 27th, we're havin' a party - cowboys and cowgirls with music from the Meer Cats! The year has just flown past, and we'd like to thank all our new friends in Shropshire for making us feel so welcome.

The first prize draw ...

On Sunday 21st. May, Kate Duffy drew a name out of the bowl for our Champagne draw, witnessed by Paul Tonks. The lucky winner was Douglas Haunch. Congratulations Douglas, your Champagne awaits your collection from the bar.

Commiserations everyone else - but why not drop your details in again to be entered into next months draw for a case of Grolsch?

Follow England at The Oak! We will be showing all of England's matches commencing with their first game against Paraguay at 2:00pm on Saturday 10th June.

Sunday June 18th is the Cardington Village open gardens day, and to ensure you're fully refreshed we'll be open all afternoon. Blooming marvellous!

Friday and Saturday July 7th and 8th is the Ale Trail! Buy your tickets from The Oak, £8 from the bar. Leave those car keys at home and visit 12 of the areas best ale pubs on the frequent minibus service. We'll have live music on Saturday night from 9pm.
